It's the end of an era for me, as for a lot of people, I think.

I was obliged to agree to TOS on LJ I could not read, because it was in RUSSIAN, or I wouldn't be able to get to my suff.

Hence, I am in the process of moving said stuff off the site, after which I will delete the journal. It hasn't been home to me for a long time, but it is still very important to me.

LJ and the people I met there taught me the true meaning of fandom and friendship. Lj spoiled me for all other fandoms, because I thought they were all as intelligent, kind, funny, open, and talented, as the Buffy fandom. I was wrong. LJ got me through some very bad times: the death of my brother, horrible job burnout, being broke, being angry, relationship dramas without number. None of the other sites I belong to have ever had the same cohesion, camaraderie, or immediate connection I felt with the people on LJ. I miss them all and will continue to do so, probably forever. Like you miss your best love, gone away.

I am phig67 on tumblr and Instagram, and Librarian Chica on twitter.

I'm going to try to post here more, since it looks like all the cool kids are hanging out. :-)

Gimme an add and I'll do the same.

I guess it was time.

I just deleted my journal over there; it was more upsetting than I thought, because I've not been there for ages, except to dip a toe in from time to time.

One silver lining to the LJ situation is the amount of people posting over here. I hope it continues :)
